This year's forum looked at the balance between security and privacy in the current environment.
Public and private sectors have choices to make in the implementation of the identity and authentication schemes
that are necessary to evolve the online world, but these choices are not context-free.
Presentations were given by leading experts from a variety of organisations - ranging from Microsoft and the Liberty Alliance to
the office of the e-envoy and The Henley Centre.

The Digital
Identity Forum is a not-for-profit event and any surplus generated will go to
local charities. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and delegates, in
recent years we have been able to support:
- The Pond Meadow school for children with severe disabilities, Guildford.
- The International Myeloma Foundation, Edinburgh.
- The Fountain Centre for Palliative Cancer Care, Guildford.
- The Surrey Voluntary Association for the Blind.
